STOP ANIMAL ABANDONMENT IN FRANCE, ACT TOGETHER

This is the new sad record of summer 2023 in France with a sharp increase in the number of pets abandoned.

What are the penalties for abandoning a pet?

In France, the abandonment of a domestic animal, tamed or held in captivity is punishable by 3 years in prison and a fine of € 45,000. If the animal is knowingly abandoned in conditions with an immediate or imminent risk of death, this constitutes an aggravating circumstance.
