Tribute to Brigitte Bardot, BB's death, animal welfare

Tribute to Brigitte Bardot: The end of an icon, the beginning of an eternal legacy for animals!

TRIBUTE TO BRIGITTE BARDOT: THE END OF AN ICON, THE BEGINNING OF AN ETERNAL LEGACY FOR ANIMALS!

The animal welfare world is in mourning. Brigitte Bardot, who dedicated more than half her life to defending the most vulnerable, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

For Services Pour Animaux and all the certified professionals in our network, Ms. Bardot will forever remain the "Patron Saint of Animals" and the spark that transformed pity into a political and social struggle.

A Lifelong Fight: From the Screen to the Field

From the 1970s onward, Ms. Brigitte Bardot chose to leave the limelight behind for the shelters of animals. From baby seals on the ice floes to horses destined for slaughter, from abandoned dogs to laboratory animals, she championed every cry as her own.

Her Brigitte Bardot Foundation, which has become a global pillar of animal protection, has helped to change attitudes and laws. If the June 2025 decree and the new regulations on animal welfare exist today, it is largely thanks to the groundwork she courageously and tenaciously laid.

A legacy for tomorrow's professionals

For us—dog trainers, feline behaviorists, horse trainers, dog and cat groomers, animal osteopaths, pet sitters, veterinarians, animal naturopaths, and animal transportersBrigitte Bardot embodied the imperative of animal ethics. She taught us that:

_ Animal welfare is not an option: It is a moral obligation.

_ Respect for animal integrity: Whether domestic, exotic, or equine, every living being deserves dignity and quality care.

_ The voice of animal professionals: By uniting, as we do on Services Pour Animaux, we are stronger in protecting animals and helping all abandoned dogs and cats throughout France.

Continuing her work of animal respect

The most heartfelt tribute we can pay her is not only through tears but also through action. Every certified professional who registers on our platform, every pet owner who chooses a trained expert rather than an amateur, contributes to Brigitte Bardot's vision: a world where animals are finally valued for their true worth.

Quote from Brigitte Bardot: "I gave my youth and beauty to men; I give my wisdom and experience to animals."

What will become of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation? This is the question thousands of donors and animal rights advocates are asking themselves today. True to the determination of its creator, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, which has been recognized as a public utility since 1992, is structured to survive the death of its founder, namely:

_ A strong team: Her staff and administrators, whom she trained and chose for their dedication, ensure the continuity of rescue efforts and awareness campaigns.

_ A financial legacy: Brigitte Bardot arranged everything to ensure that the funds were protected solely for the benefit of animals.

_ The passing of the torch to animal professionals: At Services Pour Animaux, we encourage our community to continue supporting this historic organization. BB's passing is a call to strengthen our individual and collective commitment so that her work never ends.

Regarding her burial place, Brigitte Bardot had expressed a very clear wish: she wanted to be laid to rest in the garden of her legendary estate, La Madrague, in Saint-Tropez, in the Var department. This symbolic place, which she had considered her refuge since the 1950s, was central to her last wishes, as she revealed in her book, "Tears of Combat."

However, this wish could not be fulfilled because the Var Prefecture did not receive an official request for burial at her home, and local authorities confirmed that Brigitte Bardot will be buried in the Saint-Tropez marine cemetery on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in a private and confidential ceremony.

Rest in peace, Madame Bardot. We are carrying on the fight. The struggle continues...

Preventive animal osteopathy, canine feline equine osteopath

Animal osteopathy: Why consult an animal osteopath even when everything is fine!

ANIMAL OSTEOPATHY: WHY CONSULT AN ANIMAL OSTEOPATH EVEN WHEN EVERYTHING IS FINE!

It's often assumed that animal osteopathy is only for lame dogs, horses nearing the end of their careers, or cats after a fall. This is a common misconception. In 2026, osteopathy established itself as the cornerstone of preventative healthcare for pets.

Consulting an animal osteopath regularly means giving your pet increased longevity and optimal quality of life.

ServicesPourAnimaux explains why prevention is the best investment for your dog, cat, or horse.

1. What is preventative animal osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a holistic manual therapy that aims to release blockages or loss of mobility before they develop into chronic pain or serious illnesses.

A. Detecting the invisible:

Animals are experts at masking their pain. By the time lameness appears, the body has already exhausted all its compensatory mechanisms. An animal osteopath intervenes early to rebalance muscle tension and address micro-displacements in the joints that are invisible to the naked eye.

B. The Seasonal Check-up:

_ For the sporting dog: Prepare the joints before a season of dog agility or canicross.

_ For the senior cat: Relieve age-related stiffness before it limits their movement.

_ For the leisure horse: Check that the saddle or work has not created asymmetrical muscle contractions.

Checklist of 5 subtle signs that it's time to consult an animal osteopath:

1. Change in mood: The animal becomes irritable, withdraws, or suddenly refuses to be brushed or petted in certain areas. 2. Unusual posture: A dog that sits sidesaddle (paws to the side), a cat that no longer curls up, or a horse that shifts its weight when resting. 3. Hesitation in movement: Hesitating before jumping into the car, no longer climbing onto the sofa, or refusing to start cantering. 4. Asymmetrical gait: A tail carried crookedly, one claw wearing down faster than the other, or a crab-like gait. 5. Indirect signs: Excessive licking of a joint or unexplained chronic digestive problems.

2. A Holistic Approach to Animal Well-being

Animal osteopaths don't work alone. At Services Pour Animaux, we advocate for synergy among various certified professionals for comprehensive care, including:

_ Connection with animal nutrition: A well-aligned body better assimilates nutrients. Conversely, a visceral imbalance can be relieved by an animal nutritionist or a veterinary nutritionist in addition to osteopathic sessions.

_ Connection with positive dog training: Sometimes, a behavioral problem (a dog that refuses to sit, a horse that resists, etc.) is not disobedience but physical pain. A positive dog trainer can refer you to an animal osteopath before proceeding with any further training.

_ Connection with animal naturopathy: The use of herbal remedies for animals or Bach flower remedies for animals (alcohol-free) can help the animal release emotional tension after an osteopathic treatment.

3. Ethics, Law, and Certification

Since the Decree of June 2025, the practice of osteopathy on animals is strictly regulated, namely:

_ Guaranteed Competence: All animal osteopaths on Services Pour Animaux have validated their skills with the Veterinary Council (or are veterinarians themselves).

_ Respect for Animals: The methods used are gentle and respect the physical and mental integrity of the animal, in accordance with the values of Services Pour Animaux.

4. Technology at the Service of Animal Osteopathy

In 2026, some expert animal osteopaths are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and video analysis to detect gait asymmetries (locomotion) before and after osteopathic sessions. This technological precision allows for customized monitoring and highly specific rehabilitation advice for pet owners.

In short: Consulting an animal osteopath once or twice a year "when everything is going well" is the secret to reducing your veterinary expenses in the long run. It's about addressing the cause rather than just the symptoms.
