TRIBUTE TO MINICAT - PRINCESS OF BRITTANY & MESSENGER OF TENDERNESS

Minicat wasn't born easily, but she was born gracefully. Her mother, Louette, a noble Chartreuse with a deep gaze, had given birth to a litter doomed by indifference. I said no. I said yes to life. I chose Minicat and found homes for her brothers and sisters, thanks to simple ads in bakeries—because a loving heart always creates miracles in everyday places.

Minicat, whom I also called Mini or Kitty, was all black, with silky fur like a winter stole, and an elegance that rivaled that of court ladies.

She wasn't a cat in my eyes; she was a star that had fallen into my arms. She sucked my arm persistently from beginning to end, as if to say, "You and me, it's forever." She followed me through my successes, my anger, and my outrageous projects. She was there, simply, royally.

She faced her illness with a courage that would make giants pale. And even in the shadow of her absence, she continues to shine in my actions, my thoughts, my love of cats and all things living.

Minicat, you are the one who chose me as much as I chose you. You are the black princess with emerald eyes. And I swear here: your story will never be erased.

To my Mini, my super Kitty.
